Extent of Awareness Regarding Indigenous Technical Knowledge (ITK) Practices among Paddy Growers in Bastar, Chhattisgarh, India

The purpose of the present study was to ascertain relationship between characteristics paddy growers and awareness indigenous technological knowledge (ITKs) in Bastar area Chhattisgarh State. Twelve villages were chosen as from two blocks (Tokapal Lohandiguda) district. From each selected village, ten by a simple random sampling procedure, thus sample size for 120. data collected through well structured pre-tested interview schedule. confirms that nearly half (46.66%) had high level about technical knowledge. Regarding association, education, landholding, annual income, social participation, innovativeness, information-seeking behavior mass media exposure significantly associated with at 0.05 probability, whereas socio-economic status, extension participation attitude towards ITK’s 0.01 probability ITKs.
